Marriott Bonvoy Members Gain Access to New BetMGM World Cup Sweepstakes

BetMGM Casino

BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy have launched a new World Cup sweepstakes that gives eligible bettors a shot at a July trip to New York City, along with VIP access tied to one of soccer’s biggest moments. The promotion runs through June 21, 2026, and is built around linked loyalty and betting accounts, a sign that BetMGM is leaning harder into experience-based rewards ahead of the 2026 tournament.

The offer is open to eligible BetMGM users who connect their BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy accounts, then place at least a $10 wager. After linking accounts, players can enter through the BetMGM Sportsbook app or website, with up to 25 entries allowed per entry period and winners drawn weekly during the promotion.

A World Cup Sweepstakes With NYC VIP Perks

The top prize centers on Sports Illustrated’s “Beyond the Pitch” Party series, which wraps up in New York City on July 18. BetMGM said 10 grand prize winners, each with a guest, will receive VIP event access, round-trip travel to New York City or travel funds, a three-night stay at Moxy Lower East Side, and dinner at L’Artusi Supper Club.

There are also smaller prizes layered into the promotion. BetMGM said 30 additional participants will receive a $100 bonus bet, while every entrant who earns at least one entry will get 2,500 Marriott Bonvoy points.

That structure gives the sweepstakes a broader appeal than a standard one-winner giveaway. Even players who do not land a trip still come away with loyalty value, provided they qualify with at least one valid entry.

How Players Can Enter Before June 21

To qualify, players must be eligible BetMGM users, link their BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy accounts, and place a minimum $10 wager. Entry is then completed through the sportsbook platform, either on desktop or mobile.

The promotion remains open until June 21, 2026, with weekly winner selections throughout the campaign. BetMGM also capped entries at 25 per entry period, which puts some guardrails on volume while still giving active users multiple chances to get into the drawing.

As always with sportsbook promotions, players should review the official terms before entering, including state eligibility, entry windows, and prize conditions. BetMGM operates in multiple regulated US markets through its sportsbook and BetMGM Casino brand, though promotional availability can vary by jurisdiction.

BetMGM Pushes Deeper Into the World Cup Spotlight

The timing is no accident. The 2026 FIFA World Cup is expected to be a major betting event in the United States, with matches played in North American time zones and a larger tournament format than past editions.

Deutsche Bank recently projected total US World Cup betting handle at $3.3 billion, with a range of $2.5 billion to $4.1 billion. In that forecast, FanDuel was pegged at $1.3 billion, DraftKings at $1.1 billion, and BetMGM at roughly $250 million.

The scale of the event should help every major sportsbook, but it may especially matter for operators trying to separate themselves beyond straight betting markets like moneylines, spreads, parlays, and over/unders. BetMGM appears to be using this sweepstakes to connect wagering with travel, hospitality, and premium access in a way that few rivals can easily match.

Why Marriott Bonvoy Is a Smart Partner

Marriott Bonvoy gives BetMGM a loyalty angle that goes beyond bonus bets and odds boosts. Instead of offering only a traditional sportsbook promo, the company can tie betting activity to hotel rewards and event-based perks that feel more memorable to players.

That fits with BetMGM’s broader push to present itself as more than just a sportsbook. The operator has increasingly framed its brand around entertainment and access, rather than relying only on standard acquisition offers.

Matt Prevost, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer, said, “At BetMGM, we’re always looking for ways to reward our players with legendary experiences they simply can’t get anywhere else. Partnering with Marriott Bonvoy for this event allows us to bring fans inside the velvet ropes during a once-in-a-generation moment on the global sports stage.”

A Bigger 2026 Tournament Could Lift Every Sportsbook

The 2026 World Cup is set to feature 104 matches, up from 64 in 2022, creating more betting inventory across the tournament. That increase alone gives sportsbooks many more opportunities to market pregame wagers, live betting, and same-game parlays during a packed schedule.

Access has also improved. Around 135 million US adults now have legal online sports betting access, compared with 104 million during the last World Cup cycle, which gives operators a much larger reachable audience this time around.

For BetMGM, that matters because the company is trying to sharpen its place in an increasingly crowded field. A travel-and-events sweepstakes tied to a global tournament may not close the gap with the market leaders on handle by itself, but it does help the brand stand out as competition for World Cup bettors heats up.

More Than a Standard Promo Push

This Marriott Bonvoy tie-in is part of a wider run of brand-building moves for BetMGM. The operator has also made news recently through a Bragg Gaming slot content deal and with “The Lion’s Share,” a branded game set to debut on CBS’s “The Price Is Right” on September 22.

Taken together, those efforts point to a company that wants to be seen as an entertainment brand with betting attached, not just a sportsbook fighting for market share. The new World Cup sweepstakes fits that plan neatly, giving BetMGM a fresh way to get players involved before what could become one of the biggest soccer betting events the US market has ever seen.
